Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide essential surgical patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment located in Mount Pleasant, SC. This contract role focuses on supporting safe, high-quality care by assisting with patient coordination, maintaining asepsis, and ensuring smooth surgical procedures within established professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist registered nurses in planning and coordinating patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Maintain aseptic technique by performing scrubbing duties and preparing the operating room.
• Support surgical teams during procedures without acting as a surgical assistant.
• Communicate patient information effectively to medical staff and team members.
• Account for and maintain all surgical equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
• Uphold unit cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance.
• Serve as a clinical preceptor, guiding new staff and following orientation protocols.
• Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and performance initiatives.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving with patients, families, and colleagues.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience in operating room nursing or related surgical support roles.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical equipment handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to customer service and quality standards in healthcare.
• Willingness to take part in clinical education and preceptor responsibilities.
